Interest Rates Held Again
For the fifth straight month the Bank of England has kept the base rate on hold at 0.5%.
Tony Rice, of Bedfordshire-based specialist mortgage brokers TMP Mortgage Zone, said: "Despite interest rates remaining low, the cost of mortgages is still relatively high. The rates on fixed mortgages and tracker mortgages have not fallen by much despite the base rate remaining at 0.5%, as there is little competition between lenders at the moment."
