FSA Bans Two Mortgage Brokers
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) recently banned two mortgage brokers from trading for failing to establish appropriate control systems across their businesses.
The two brokers - one in Northern Ireland and one in Essex - were also found to have failed to treat their customers fairly and failed to have provided sufficient information to customers over mortgage recommendations.
Tony Rice, of Bedfordshire-based specialist mortgage and insurance brokers TMP Mortgage Zone, said: "Like any industry some "rogue traders" give everyone else a bad name. I think it is only right that the FSA take such strong action so that customers have confidence in those of us who do operate professionally and in the customers interests at all times."
