Interest rates remain unchanged at 0.5%

Today the Bank of England kept interest rates at 0.5% - at the same level they have been since March 2009.

Commenting on the latest Bank of England announcement, Tony Rice from Bedfordshire-based specialist mortgage and insurance brokers TMP Mortgage Zone, said: "With the economic recovery still fragile and a forthcoming election, it came as no surprise that there was again no change in the base rate. With inflation falling from 3.5% in January to 3% in February there was also less pressure to raise interest rates to try and meet the current government target of 2% inflation."

Testimonials

"You took great time in giving us options in our purchase of a Spanish property. As we were trying to sell our own house in England at the same time, the whole situation was made even more complicated. You listened to our needs and took great care and patience to quell our fears throughout this process. We would like to thank you very much and would not hesitate in recommending you to anyone who needs a mortgage."
