House Prices Up
According to figures released this week by Nationwide Building Society, house price inflation has hit double figures for the first time since June 2007.
For the 12 months to the end of April 2010 house prices in the UK rose by 10.5%.
Commenting on these latest figures, Tony Rice of Bedfordshire-based specialist mortgage and insurance broker TMP Mortgage Zone, said: "Activity in the housing market remains subdued and estate agents I've been speaking too have said that whilst there are more people putting their houses on the market, the recent increase in enquiries from buyers has flattened out. I would therefore expect that house price inflation will flatten out again."
